The true power of the human mind is extraordinary. We’ve created so much beauty with something so simple as our imagination, a gift that has also been the cause of so much of the destruction in our lives. But regardless of how we decide to use this power, many of us take our mental health for granted. Like Tasha, many aren’t aware of how easy it is to become a victim of the mind.

Diagnosed with epilepsy, Tasha was extremely limited to the things she loved. Unexpected seizures hunted her frequently, making it extremely difficult to enjoy her everyday life. Imagine yourself on a highway driving 200 mph. Within a blink of an eye, your steering wheel and brakes suddenly vanish, leaving you with no control of the outcome of your life. Could you imagine that kind of experience? Paranoia thrived on Tasha’s spirit the same exact way. Unfortunately, she experience that collision. Cooking one day in her apartment, she had an episode. The result of her seizure caused her apartment to catch fire. She was saved before the fire took her life, but she lost her home as a result.

Still currently homeless, Tasha is left alone on the streets with this mental condition. I just hope she finds help before anything life threatening happens to her.

That’s very sad. I think all of us wish we could reach out and magically fix everybody. But, we can’t. What we can do is touch the people in our small spheres with kind words, good deeds and assistance as possible. If every body did that, suffering would vanish. To you, my wish for safety, peace and happiness.

Lord touch Tasha’s body and be with her as this ailment plagues her daily. I know all to well the fear of Epilepsy. The anxiety that comes with this. She has suffered great loss at this illness. Yet you are greater than all of this. Let her see you, and know you as her Father. Give her peace in loss, and calm in her spirit. Amen.

Life can change in an instant for any human being presenting us with immense challenges. Tasha’s challenge opens an opportunity for those who pass her way to touch her life and see her as a person filled with dignity and worthy of respect and to help lift her up. Thank you for sharing. Ray
